[dropcap]C[/dropcap]on el propósito de mejorar la competitividad y satisfacer las nuevas tendencias de sabor, color y forma de nuestros mercados, en el año 2013 se firmo un Convenio de Vinculación Tecnológica entre el INTA y Iceberg Agricola.
Se obtuvo un nuevo híbrido de zapallo tipo anco (Cucurbita moschata y C. moschata) denominado COQUENA ARGENTUM INTA. El mismo fue inscripto en el Registro Nacional de Cultivares del INASE, y su semilla ya esta disponible para la presente temporada.
Los resultados de los avances logrados en el marco de este convenio fueron publicados en congresos de la ASAHO. Coquena Argentum INTA posee las siguientes ventajas:
- Sabor extra dulce
- Color naranja intenso de la pulpa
- Homogeneidad de la forma
- Tamaño optimo para el empaque y comercialización
- Menor tendencia al rajado
- Altos rendimientos
Esto permitirá mejorar la calidad de los frutos que le llegan al consumidor en el mercado interno y continuar con las exportaciones de zapallo a Europa, y otras partes del mundo.

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]ith the purpose of improving competitiveness and meet the new trends of taste, color and shape of our markets, in 2013 an agreement of technological link between the INTA and Iceberg Agricola was signed.
Ank a new hybrid type of pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata and C. moschata) called Coquena ARGENTUM INTA was obtained. It was listed on the National Register of Cultivars of INASE, and his seed is now available for the season.
The results of the progress achieved in the framework of this agreement were published in congresses ASAHO. Coquena Argentum INTA has the following advantages:
- Extra sweet taste
- Bright orange pulp
- Homogeneity of the form
- Optimal size for packing and marketing
- Less prone to cracking
- High yields
This will improve the quality of the fruits that come to consumers in the domestic market and exports continue pumpkin to Europe and elsewhere.
